Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how InstaDM Dark Mode (“we”, “us”, “our”), available at instadmdarkmode.pages.dev, handles information when you use our website and the Instagram DM generator (the “Service”).

The short version

The DM generator runs entirely in your browser. The text you type and the images you upload are processed locally on your device to render a preview and export an image. We never receive, transmit, or store that content on any server.

Information we do not collect

• We do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, email, or password to use the generator.
• We do not upload or save the messages, usernames, or photos you enter into the tool.
• We do not sell personal information.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard technical data, such as your IP address, browser type, device, referring page and the pages you visit. This is used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate analytics only, to keep the site running and to improve it.

Cookies and local storage

We use only the cookies and browser storage necessary for the site to function, such as remembering whether you chose light or dark mode. If we later introduce analytics or advertising, this policy will be updated and, where required, we will ask for your consent.

Push notifications

Push notifications are entirely optional and off unless you turn them on. If you do:

• Your browser creates an anonymous push subscription. We store only that subscription, which is a URL provided by your browser vendor plus two encryption keys.
• We do not store your name, email, IP address or any profile alongside it. The subscription cannot be traced back to you by us, and it cannot be used to read anything on your device.
• We use it only to send occasional updates about the tool. We never sell or share it.
• You can revoke it at any time by clicking Turn off notifications on the site, or by blocking notifications in your browser settings. Revoking deletes the subscription from our records the next time we attempt a send.

The subscription is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database in our own account. Nothing you type or upload into the DM generator is ever attached to it.

Advertising

We may in the future display ads through third-party networks such as Google AdSense. When enabled, those partners may use cookies or device identifiers to serve and measure ads. You will be able to learn about and opt out of personalised advertising via Google Ads Settings and aboutads.info. This section will be expanded before any ads go live.

Third-party links

Our site and blog may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please review their policies separately.

Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your rights

Because we do not collect personal profiles, there is generally nothing for us to access or delete. If you have questions about data our host may log, contact us and we will assist where we can.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
